I cannot believe that this past weekend Tony and I have been married for 3 whole wonderful weeks. This was our first weekend home as a married couple and full of good stuff. Tony has been steadily moving from his condo into our house. Friday evening he had to do some studio stuff while that is still functioning at his condo....for the time being, Tony will have to have his studio down for a little while as we figure out where he can have it set up :( Unfortunately, our house just isn't big enough to accommodate that. He finished mixing a song he has been working on for a while. It never ceases to amaze me the music he puts together and all the components that go into one of his songs.
Saturday we got up and around a little on the slow side of things. We got up and headed to the lake. We went to Westlake "beach". Not a bad place, but a little more pricey than say a public park like Emma Long. Ethan had a great time. About an hour into being there, a storm came in and we got rained out :( We took the opportunity to go tour a couple of gym options we had been discussing. It looks like Lifetime Fitness has the majority vote at this time. As the day was getting away from us, we headed to HEB for groceries....this HEB is not our neighborhood one....it is bigger with more stuff. We had decided to have pizza and a movie night. We grabbed a bunch of good ingredients to make our pizzas and few staple items and headed home for some culinary fun. It was our first grocery shopping trip as a family. How fun!
Pizza turned our terrific. Ethan made a traditional cheese pizza. He is a bit of a pizza purist. Tony's pizza was pretty yummy but my favorite was mine :) We also made a small pesto pizza which was very yummy and I think Tony's favorite. As we ate our homemade pizza and drank some wine we landed on 16 Candles. Tony and I were cracking up watching it. Even Ethan got into watching it a little before crashing on the couch. Saturday was certainly filled with some fabulous family time.
Sunday we all headed to church. Both Tony and I had serving responsibilities so we headed in early. We had not been in 2 weeks and I was happy to be there. We chatted with a lot of people and then after, Ethan headed home with Tony for some yard work and I headed to Barbie's baby shower for some girly time :)
Barbie is sooooooo cute. The shower was at Auntie's house and just perfect. Little baby girl Joplin is so lucky to be being born into such a loving, warm environment. We cannot wait to meet her.
After the shower I head home to my boys. Tony had planted some flowers for me. :) He is a wonderful husband. We talked about some decor ideas and then went back to the church for a celebration given for one our pastors who is leaving the staff at Gateway. WE will miss Ted being on staff but are thrilled that he, his wife, Stephanie, and family are not going far and will still be at Gateway. After the celebration and hanging with some friends chatting about our honeymoon and various things, we headed home for baths and bed. Tony had to work down town, so he left to do that.
Wonderful full weekend! To be followed by a full week ahead :)

Friday....Fabulous Friday!
Oh how I love Fridays....especially about 4:30 on Friday. That starts the weekend. The week has been busy. Getting back into work and playing catch up. Trying to organize our home. Tony has been moving his stuff in :) In general settling into our new life.
Tomorrow, Tony and I will be married 3 whole weeks. Time sure does fly. Our family (I just love saying that, especially now that is consists of three) has a very full weekend ahead of us complete with pizza and movie night, swimming, time with each other and friends, church, baby shower and a few chores.
Lets hope I have time to get some updates on our wedding day and honeymoon on this blog. At minimum some picts up. Fingers crossed ;)

Our Family blogspot :)
What do I say? Where do I begin? Dive right in......
WE are a family of 3 (Ethan, Tony and Me) as of May 31, 2008. My wonderful husband Tony and I married on that date and that day we officially became a family. Tony became my husband and partner for life and he also became a Dad that day. What an amazing day!! [more to come on the wedding later]
I was not only a mom to Ethan (which I have been for almost 5 years) but instantly I am Tony's wife. That day, Ethan officially got his dad....not that he didn't already brand that title to Tony beforehand.
So, that is us and THIS is our blog....our way to attempt to keep friends and family updated on our family happenings.
