Reading all on his own!

E is reading all on his own! We try to read a book each evening with E. E does a great job of reminding daddy and me that it is book time. Last night, he and I decided on Green Eggs and Ham. E was reading to me! He read not only the words but with emphasis with regard to the punctuation. I am simply amazed at how much he is growing and learning every day.

Crazy, Busy, Fun and full of LOVE!!

July has already been a busy month in this Harrison household.

JULY 1st---We had our sonogram! All things good. Our little pumpkin is growing very well. All of the little organs are on track and growth is good. OH and by the way, we are expecting a healthy baby **GIRL**. Sometime between Halloween and the first week of November, our little pumpkin will make her debut and she will be about 7.5 lbs. WE cannot wait for little Ella June Harrison's arrival.

***the dr. says we have a girl but will not be 100% until she arrives. Apparently it is more difficult to give 100% certainty for a girl***

JULY 2nd---E felt our little pumpkin move for the first time and he was the cutest and most excited big brother I have ever seen. Ella has been moving around a lot....but not so much that anyone else but me could feel it, until recently. Let's just say she is a pretty busy little one :)

JULY 4th---We had a fun filled day with friends and family. Parade in Lago Vista with the Deazvedos and Happy Birthday to Trent.

JULY 9th--Field Trip for e. e is enrolled in a summer camp experience with his day care. They have field trips about twice a week. This one, however, was to the Austin Museum of Modern Art--AMOMA. Which happens to be located directly across the street from the building where I work. I don't get to participate as a classroom mom often, so this was a definite treat for me. E allowed me to make an appearance during his field trip and was pretty excited to see me when i showed up.

JULY 11th---We had a super summer party in the back yard to celebrate E's 6th bday! His bday is actually today, the 13th but Monday's are not too conducive to parties. Lots of E's friends and "family" came to help celebrate and a good time was had by all. Ethan even got a chance to hand out his own CD, produced by DAD. It is a single of E singing Spiderman (of course) and T played keys and produced it. Trent and E had some extra time to play on the slip-n-slide....e is going to be a GREAT big brother!!! (bday photos click on the "our picts" link.

JULY 13th--Today, our little boy turns 6 years old. I cannot believe how fast it seems to have gone by. We made cupcakes for E to share with his classmates at Stepping Stone today. It is simply amazing how grown up my sweet little boy is already. He is truly a blessing!!!

In between all this T and I have been working working working. Both at the "office" and at home. T continues to work on his latest project and is recording every free moment he gets in the studio. We have purchased our kiddos' furniture. This week we plan to rearrange and move it into the room. E is getting/has gotten a loft bed and we have our crib and changing table for Ella. E is going to help get his side of the room organized :) so that we can be ready to welcome Ella in a few months. He will even part with a few of his books so she can have her own library. E is very excited to have a new bed and new space.

Pict from T's totally 80's bday bash!

What is new with me?? well I just keep growing a healthy baby and try to keep up with my boys. Picts taken by E.

Some of you kept asking for "belly" picts....will send some better ones soon ;-)

Whew....that is a snippit....CRAZY, Busy, Fun and full of LOVE!!

Still a ways to go, but 1/2 there. I am doing well and growing well. Bigger by the day ;-)

Hello Again...

Hi there!! Been a few months since I posted anything and boy have we had a lot going on! Right now, E is finishing his Kindergarten year. The school year just flew by. E has grown and learned a ton this year. He truly has learned to enjoy school and is looking forward to his 1st grade year. He is also looking forward to his summer vacation. We have E enrolled in a lot of activities to keep him busy and so he enjoys this time off from school. He will be doing things like, movie outings, kickball games, swimming lessons, chef's institute, Hanging out w/his friends like Johnny D.(in the picture, they had a "camp out"), and all sorts of other fun stuff. Oh how i miss having a summer vacation :( Anyhow, we are very proud of E!!

In other news....T has been super busy these days. He has been leading our Deepen service on Sunday nights and that has been amazing. T is also writing a lot of new music and has just started recording a new record. Softball season has started back up and he is playing twice a week this season. Which T loves. E and I go out to watch him play when we can. Coming up this weekend, T will be performing with Rumor of Glory at the Nutty Brown Cafe.

I am just plugging along at work, running around with all the activities going on trying to keep up with my boys :). Oh and I am working on big project....I am growing a new person. :) T, E and I are expecting a new addition to our family the end of October or beginning of November. WE are all very excited and cannot wait. I am feeling good overall (mostly). In 4 weeks, we will have our appointment to see if we are having a boy or a girl. Take a guess you have a 50% chance of being correct ;) ---the little sweet pea in the pict is Jett....isn't she cute.

T and I are getting ready to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary next weekend. I have begun planning t's birthday and e's birthday (though it isn't until July) celebrations. Busy busy busy.....but good good good!

We have a BUG :(

Friday we had a bug show up...not a cute butterfly sort of bug.....NOPE! e caught a nasty bug. The flu....poor kiddo has been in bed since daddy picked him up on Friday from the nurse's office. We didn't know it was the flu until yesterday. The Dr. confirmed it is and that there isn't anything other than keep his fever down that we can do....thankfully, I was able to work from home Friday afternoon and yesterday. T is taking care of e today and we think he may actually be able to go back to school tomorrow. Nothing like the helpless feeling a parent has when looking at her/his child (who is usually so spunky and full of energy and pep) just lay there and not move from the bed. Hopefully he will be back to his healthy super hero self soon.

Girls' Weekend in Northern California

I spent Friday night having dinner in San Francisco with 2 of my really good girl friends, Michelle and Melissa...M & M (that is what i will call them for short). So, those that know me and know me well, know that I don't go on "random spur of the moment trips". However, that is exactly what i did this past weekend. M & M were already in Cali, one for business, the other flew out Thursday to hang out. Friday, late afternoon, I flew out to Oakland where M & M picked me up to start our weekend in Wine Country. Dinner on Friday night in San Fransisco was great! We dined at a wonderful restaurant a called Scoma's http://www.scomas.com/?page=home. The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were terrific. After filling our tummies we headed to our hotel in Fairfield for some rest before our full day of winery/vineyard hopping in Sonoma Valley on Saturday.
Saturday was a full day of wine tastings and winery hopping followed by a fabulous dinner. The day was gorgeous and the company impeccable! We made several new friends and enjoyed so many great wines. I was in awe over the beautiful fall colors that surrounded us.

Sunday came all too quickly. We ate a quick breakfast at Denny's, checked email, said good bye to the wine country and headed for Oakland to the airport. We took the scenic route ;-)

The trip was fast but very good! As much as I love M & M, I did miss my boys, T & E. I was very happy to get home to them.

Thanks for a great trip M & M; I am looking forward to next year's girls' trip.

Veterans' Day 2008

Yesterday was Veterans' Day and E's school paid tribute to Veterans with Patriotic night at the school. Complete with the Pledge of Allegiance and singing patriotic songs. They were so cute; E was great and we are very proud of him. ****(disclaimer the pict quality on this video isn't all that good...i took it with my digital point and shoot and we were a bit too far back)****

Still hard to believe he is in Kindergarten!!!
